I may just be a bit slow, but I don’t seem to see an option to post polls here. In other BB’s that use this format (sorry I don’t know what it is, just how to use it) it is pretty simple. Has this feature been disabled or am I a slow learner?

I looked for the option when setting up a new thread, but I could not locate the feature to set up a poll. Perhaps the option is limited to admin and moderators or special requests?

In other forums that use vBulletin software, it is shown as an option in the Additional Options box at the bottom of the screen when starting a new thread.
It doesn’t seem to be enabled here - at least not yet.
It has been my experience that most polls are useless at best. Your experience may be different. They are usually started because of boredom or to be adversarial. Personally, I hope they are never enabled on FAOL. IMO, the way we discuss things right now is just fine.

Boredom may have something to do with it as the BB seems a little…slow (I’m trying to be PC here); however, my thoughts in posting a poll were acutally for informational purposes to make it a little easier to analyze everyone’s opinions on a very NON-controversial topic (flies for a certain situation). Yea, I could just ask, but how boring is that? It’s the same old “What fly would you use in the xyz situation?” or “What is your favorite fly for xyz?”
Wouldn’t it be nice to see something a little different once in a while? :rolleyes:
