I’m stocking up the topwater boxes for the spring. These are some Popper Frogs I have good success with. The body is carved from Balsa Wood and colored with markers. I make the popper “mouth” from two sequins threaded onto the hook. I use both Frog Legs and leg materials for this pattern to provide a different look depending on how the bass are hitting. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Those are really cool. How long does it take to make one?
Thank you for the kind words. They’re not difficult and actually really fun to make. Carving, shaping and sanding the body usually takes a total of about 10 minutes. Coloring it about 5 minutes. Adding the eyes and the coat of epoxy about 5 minutes and the legs are no different that tying in any tailing materials. The most time consuming time is spent on the drying wheel which is automatic, so total time in is a bit less than 30 minutes each.
