Playing with Inlays again

Got talking to BlueH2OFly last nite and he asked my if I could do a Tarpon? So I played around and came up with a rendition. These inlay grips are very time consuming , I figure it took me about 6 1/2 hrs to glue up the corks , inlay the ivory, shape the grip, and do the artwork. I used brown , reg cork , and tauga. The burl is coated with tru-oil to bring out the grain…Ed

Nice work… I especially like the inlay on the grip… The fish is a nice toutch but a dry fly would suit me better… Ya ever done any feather inlays on the grip ?
