Pictures of fly fishing trip

Here are some of the pics of the fly fishing trip. Some of the kids had to use casting rods because I simply didn’t have enough fly rods for all to use. It was sure a fun trip and again thank you for all your help. I posted these pics of another board, but you can all view them there.

Now that is fantastic! I love those pictures of the snow falling, the kids not giving up fishing, and that huge fire. Oh, to be a kid again with such a good advocate as you are.

Ranchwife,

Too cool! That is one outing those kids will never forget. Looks like you have fishing partners for life.

RanchWife,

In two words:

WOW & Wow !!

Good job

What a great thing you did, those kids will remember that trip their whole lives. You might have even turned out a trout bum or two. Bless ya!

Thanks Ranchwife! You just gave me a great excuse to buy more fly rods and reels…

I’m going to host a kids’ fishing derby…someday. Yeah, that’s it!

Absolutely a superb job and some nice pictures to boot!

What a wonderful selfless thing you have done for those kids! Pricelsss. And I agree fully, they’ll remember the outing far far into the future.

Snow on the roof but with fire still in the hearth

Ranchwife,

What a wonderful time you provided for those kids. The photos are priceless. Think you should consider entering the “kids around the fire” and especially the “one who wouldn’t quit” into a contest or art show. Some of the sporting magazines are always looking for photos like these and they are all top notch. Just on problem - I’m in 80? right now and your photos are giving me frostbite!

Ranchwife,
My wife Colleen teaches 4th grade (over 35 years) & while she is not an outdoorsperson would agree that “teaching” expands beyond the classroom. Kudos to you as you are not only teaching them the outdoors & flyfishing, you are teaching them “respect” & “appreciation” for their environment, elders, & interests. All involved are benefiting & will continue to benefit from what you have provided. I am proud to count you as one of my FAOL family members!
**Just WHERE were Teachers like you when I was in school?
Mike

Hi Ranchwife,

Great job with the kids. There is certainly a lot of satisfaction when you see the “light bulb” turn on over a young person’s head. Good Job!

Another subject: The Federation of Fly Fishers has loaner fly rods for situations like yours. Next time you might check with them at 406-222-9369. Take care & …

I like the one with the kid keeping his arm warm in the potato chip bag.
