Do you have to put the rod on a rod turner after you coat it with CP?
I can hear the snickers already! Ha! Ha!

I use the U-40 CP. It soaks into the threads pretty well and dries fairly quick. I have never had a need to put one on a rod turner. If you have a need for a rod turner you probably have applied too much.

For CP, Yonks has it. If you need a turner, you put too much on.

If you are willing to baby sit the rod for 3 or 4 hours, you don’t need to use a turner for the finish, but I would. I have other things to do.
