Swiped the wing from a LaFontaine Halo Emerger and added it to a Palomino Midge.

hook - Dai Riki 125 #18
thread - Danville 6/0 olive
abdomen - Ultra Chenille olive
wingcase/indicator- McFlyfoam hot pink (optional)
wings - packing foam

mash barb, start thread, tie to point above point

flame taper the end of chenille, measure (gap width past bend) and tie in

tie in McFlyfoam

take a strip (half gap width) and Super Glue it in a loop (approx 2x gap width)

tie in with crossing wraps

pull wingcase forward; tie off, half hitch x 2, SHHAN

trim indicator

Where do you get the packing foam you use for your fly patterns. haven’t really looked but most of the packing foam i have seen seems much thicker than what you are using. really like the looks of this fly by the way.
