I have not looked at local stores so I do not know if it is carried at most sewing/craft stores - I have only ordered it from the website I mentioned. Their delivery is very fast, though.

Didn’t you adjust the Matarelli bobbin by simply bending the arms?
I’ve been using several of them for over 40 years with no problems.
Admitting that rewinding thread onto the smaller spools is a bother, it’s worth it yo me for the space I can save in the tying kit I use to travel to my classes. For “at home production” it’s not the way to go.
