Found this on a U.K. site; never thought about using a PT as a baitfish imitation.

hook ? Dai Riki 280 #10
thread - Danville 6/0 brown
tail - Krystal Flash pearl
rib - Mirage Flash opal
abdomen/shellback- pheasant tail
thorax - Ice Dub pearl
hackle - partridge

Part 1

mash barb, start threads the 2/3 mark, tie in KF, fold and wrap to bend; trim (gap width past bend)

tie in rib

tie in pt, wrap to 2/3 mark; tie off/trim

counter wrap rib; tie off/trim

tie in some more pt

dub thorax

Part 2

pull pt fibers over thorax; tie off/trim

tie in partridge by tip, wrap, tie off/trim

squeeze hackle, top and bottom, cover with thread

whip finish, SHHAN

Nice fly Scott. I am going to experiment with using the ends of cassette tapes. I’ve found some have a light bluish color and some have a light reddish tint. I figure that they might be good for the wing case.
