What is recommended for paintingstyrafoam popper bodies.
I first tried water based acrylic paint but that came off and dried really slow.
Then I tried the Aero-gloss Dope for painting model airplanes --paint which I like – kind of like smelling the stuff too – but hard to find alot of color. It dries fast and hard.
What are others doing
I always used the Testor’s model airplane paint, that comes in those little square bottles. Works great, lots of colors to choose from, and you can mix paint for new colors. On the other hand, it is a PITA to work with at times.
Maybe one of those paint sprayers for models?

I avoid styrofoam as much as possible.
Softtiles.com sells closed cell foam mats at the best price on the net.
Harbor Freight sells hollow punch sets for a few dollars.
Use them together and you can get plenty of options.
Remember, closed cell foam plus super glue breaks down the molecules on the surface of the foam and makes it bond with similar foam (in sheets or cut from the mat) instantly and permanently. You can stack colors of fun foam sheets and cut them with the punch set to make bumble bees etc.
The best super flue for this is Loctite brush at Wal-Mart for $2.84.
as stated earlier the testors paint is great & ya can mix colours to get the exact colour & shade ya want… it also mixes very well with epoxy… when i make a poper i get the colout i want then mix it with 3 or 5 minute epoxy & put that on the popper but i use cork steadin of foam or styrafoam…
