Our Duck Feathers At Work

I wanted to show these flies to the duck hunter, quivira kid. But since I can’t send the pic to him without uploading through PhotoBucket I decided to send them this way and let all see them. Flies are tied in the Hornberg style on size 10 hooks. Top two, Green Wing Teal,
Middle two Gadwall, and bottom two Woodduck. Feathers are from the bird’s breast.

 I love the flies, you did a great job on them!

Neat flies, Tim. Sure am glad you can’t send them by PM with photobucket !!

John

Yes sir! I like 'em a lot. I think the gadwall breast does well as a soft hackle and bearding feather as well.

I bought an inexpensive camera and I am still learning how to use it. Here is another picture of one of the flies which gives you a better look at its construction.

Tim

I love using the old patterns, including the Hornberg, Muddler Minnow, Carey Special, Olsen Deceiver, and others.

They still work…

Good lookin’ flies Tim, can’t wait to see fishes hangin’ off them…camera work is coming along rapidly too…have fun !

Cheers,
