Hi all,
I finally got around to checking out an Orvis DXR 7/8 that I bought some years ago. I thought I had the information from Orvis, but either didn’t get it or misplaced it 0- I never lose anything!
Does anyone have the instructions for changing the retrieve? Also, I may have mussed something up as the reel spool will only turn in one direction.

Seems you have to remove the spool, pull off the main gear and flip it over.

Thanks Ted. I got the info from Orvis, which looked strangely familiar - I had it somewhere - and the reel is set for left hand retrieve. My instincts on changing it were correct. They are even sending me, no charge, two new drag springs! Man, now the reel just needs line and I’m going fishing!
