Hi, I’d like to get some opinions on a float tube that BassPro sells. It’s the White River Fly Shop Lost Lake Open Front Float Tube that sells for $89.99.
Anyway, funds are extremely low and it has a good rating from people that have bought it before. I am getting to make a trip to Lake Hartwell Ga in October, its this or getting stuck in the middle of a 14’ boat with my daddy-in-law and brother-in-law. I’d rather be able to move around and see what’s around the next bend and catch a fish every once in a while, while they would rather sit in the same spot all day and drown crickets while staring at floats.
Jason, That tube looks comparable to the Creek Co. U-boat. It’s an OK still water tube, easy to get in and out of and a lot of fun to fish on. I took a Caddis brand U tube to Montana last summer. It is very portable, fit in my luggage with my waders and fins. My only complaint is you sit too low in the water. Don’t forget your PDF. It’s a good place to start. I’d say go for it. Jim
I say go for it also. I think every one has been there at one point or another. Got to start somewhere.
You are sitting low and slightly resting on your elbows. You can make it quite comfortable though.
Just don’t loose that front brace (if it has one) they really need it or they fold in around you.
