One heck of a trip!

Today Ohiotuber and I went fishing. First we went to our favorite spot on the Clearfork for brown trout. The fish were going nuts and rising all over. After I caught 2 decent browns and 1 blue gill believe it or not (all fish on a klinkhamer )we decided to pack it up and head to a farm pond becuase there was a family gathering there that was spreading to the water. At the pond nothing much happening but there were a lot of little bass and blue gill running around. Ohiotuber got a nice bass and I think 2 good gills. I got a small bass and a small gill and a dandy red ear. All in all a wild evening of fishing!

Mike,

Thanks alot for taking Ohiotuber fishing and helping him catch some fish. He needs all the help he can get. Did you have to hook them and then hand him the fly rod? Thanks again for taking him.

Warren

Mike,
It WAS a great trip!..BTW folks, those 2 trout today were Mike Murgidas’ 1st on his new Sage 4 wt!

Warren,
LOL!! I’m SO proud of you for learning how to read! Mike said he MIGHT let me hold my rod next time! I may have needed Mike to hook my trout today…I had a bunch of takes & it was one of those days when I couldn’t drive a hook home to save my soul. I did better with the bass & bluegill though.
Mike

Mike…I think we both would have caught a lot more trout at the river but there were those ‘distractions’ LOL. Just from fishing there for what little time we did I knew it would have been dynomite later in the evening!

MM,

Nice to see your really aren’t a “trout snob” and can find pleasure out of ANY time on the water.

Thanks for the report.
