Old Bamboo ID

This is a story and question for you Antique Bamboo experts.
About 35 yrs ago I was fishing with my brother when I happened onto a case. I opened it and there was a Bamboo rod and extra tips inside.
To this day I am puzzled WHY anyone would leave this rod in the woods by a river.
We drove up and down the river looking for the owner, but no luck!
The Bamboo rod was 4 pieces, 3 piece rod with xtra tip. I attached the final tip and proceeded to cast with the rod and the TIP BROKE!
I attached the 2nd tip and it BROKE!
Both tips fractured in the middle area.
I can’t figure out WHY both tips would break when all I did was try to cast the rod!
The reason I am bringing this story up is because I just recovered a big collection of my old rods and the lower TWO pieces of this Bamboo rod are all I have left. I would like to know what you guy’s thoughts are?
The ONLY ID on the rod is the word BONNEVILLE.
The rod has very small guides and metal ferrules.
Thank You!
Doug  P.S. This rod could have been 8-8.5 ft.

Do you have the tube and sock still, as well as the butt and mid Doug?

Cheers,

MontanaMoose

EN OOOO!
It’s wonder that I have the butt and mid.
Do you or anyone in the Universe know if they made cheap Bamboo rods back in the 50-60’s???
It has sparse wrappings on the guides.
The rod has three sides that have dark brown and the other 3 sides are regular or lighter color.
Doug P.S. The cork is OLD looking.

Bring it with tomorrow maybe? I could have a look at it…and yes, they made boo coo cheapies after the war…yep…

Cheers,

MontanaMoose

Sounds Like A Plan!
Doug P.S. I can just see me on the Antiques Show on PBS, This rod is worth HOW MUCH???

Oh brother, here we go… :)) hey, you never know though…oh, I asked earlier today…you bringin’ any tailgate stuff?

Cheers,

MontanaMoose
