I got a fly reel as a present. I don’t know much about it since it was release this year. It is an Okuma SLV 23. Does someone have any experience with it?
I have a St Croix LU rod 3wt 7.9ft to fit the reel.

don’t know about that model but I got an inexpensive Okuma Sierra S5/6 for subscribing to a mag for three years, it’s not fancy but has been a great reel for me on my 5wt trout rod.

I know that the Okuma reels are good reels. I was wondering if someone had the chance to test the SLV series before. This is a 2006 series and I understand that no many people had the chance to use them yet. I’m going to use mine tomorrow in the NE IA.
