Looking for opinions of the Okuma Integrity I 10/11 reels.
I purchased 1 off Ebay for a very affordable price and it appears to be,“respectable” for the amount of investment.
Thinking of getting anouther with some spare spools.
Thought it a good idea to see if anyone has had troubles with these simple, basic, reels?
It is a good reel for the money, though I don’t think they reccomend it for salt. I used a 7/8 for 3 years without problem. Only thing I did was ALWAYS wash it out when done.

I have 2 of the 7/8 Integrity reels and the only problem I have with them is that they will free-spool no matter where the drag is set. Gets interesting sometimes!

Had the same problem(?) with the one I already have. I simply put some water repellant grease on the spool’s spindle. Problem resolved.

Waterproof litheum used for the spindles on the boat trailer (S).
I’m sure there is something better, but it was what I had at the time for a “test”.
That over-run annoid the snot out of me and just had to go ASAP!
I think the Okuma Integrity is an OK reel up to the 7/8 wt. Up to that weight, you can overcome some of the shortcomings with drag through palming the reel and playing the fish. A 10/11 reel has to overcome a lot of fish, and I don’t think the Okuma is up to it. Hook up a decent tarpon on it and I would give it about 3 minutes before it explodes.
