Several years ago I discovered Vladmir Petorovic and his flies. I may be preaching to the choir but If interested search on oholi flies and also oholiflyfishing. Vladmir uses some tying methods I have never seen before. He has good videos including 6 snowshoe flies. Check out his videos and blog.

Im wondering what it represents to put the white CDC on the underside of the fly instead of where the biots normally go?
I’m sorry, we seem to be looking at different things. I’m looking at a bunch of videos of flies and you must be seeing only one. If you contact him and give the name of the fly, I think he will answer your question. Sorry about the confusion.
After looking back I assume you’re looking at the CDC Prince. If so He is using a jig hook which will ride upside down, hook up so the CDC will be on top of the fly.
