those are the only words that can describe this small stream brown trout that ate anything and everything to get this big. This trout puked out a 8 inch brookie during the battle.

Wow! That’s a hoss! Thanks for sharing.
Outstanding! Who says big fish only live in big water?
That’s a beauty of a brown. You stated it was from a small stream…what wt rod/size tippet & what fly were used?
Mike
Yeah, I would say that big ole cannibal terrorizes that stream.
Beautiful ole bugger!
Musta been a ton of fun corraling him?
Bob
Judging by the size of that net, there WERE some “great expectations”. My small stream net could maybe handle the head. Maybe.
Mark
Wow…what a fish. Congrats 100 times over. 8" brookie, huh? Don’t doubt it for a second. Once again, congrats on a great fish.

Talk about the fish of a life time! I know they exist because I saw a monster like that in action one evening several years ago. I was positioning my self for a cast to a 10"-12" rainbow when suddenly the bow just disappeared in a massive swirl of water. I briefly caught a glimpse of a large spotted side and a massive metallic brown tail. I wonder how many trout, chub and assorted other fish that trophy as eaten over the years. Congratulations! 8T
WOW! I bet that streams population will improve if ya kept him…
Great looking fish…
Congrats. Great fish! Did you happen to get a weight or measurements of it?
Dennis
As a small stream fish, that is truly a fish of a lifetime and an absolute freak of nature. Very cool indeed.
Outstanding fish! Well done and good luck on future trips.
