I’m on my way to Ohio to pick up Kaboom1 and head to Burgess Junction, WY to chase trout on the Tongue River with Cary and Betty Hiner. It’s been about 5 years since we last fished with them on the Au Sable River up in Michigan so it will be really special. We also plan to go back to Black Hills for a few days chasing the non-existant South Dakota trout.
On the way home we may spend some time in the Iowa Drifless Area (may be a good site for a future Fish-In!
We’re taking the Kia Soul and staying in Camping Cabins which may, or may not, be less of a hassle than pulling a camper, it will be cheaper on fuel.
Jack, please be careful out there and by all means, have a great time!
Warren…Jack, Brad, & “be careful”???
Jack & Brad,
I’m sure you guys will have a great time & I KNOW you’ll keep us all posted.
Mikey
Guys, try to stay off the late news and the early news. Have fun and catch lots of big fish.
We will have the rockets with us…I don’t think anyone will give us a hard time.
We will try to make daily post as to our progress and a few pictures of the spotted dace we catch along the way.
Brad
As has been said, you four enjoy yourselves. Please stay off the newscasts. Take care and enjoy, John.
Have fun guys! And leave the adventures to the youngsters; they recover quicker.
Jim
It is fun to watch us oldsters go down in a blaze of glory. We will keep you posted. By the way, Jack says he has enough bail money for the both of us…
Brad
Returned home from Hubbards Yellowstone Lodge on the 24th. Best place I ever stayed. Leaving on the 7th for Myrtle Beach, hope to catch some salt water fish on a fly rod. Bob.
Have a wonderful trip. Be kind to the fish. I look forward to hearing about your adventure. Be safe gents.
Well, we have made it to the lodge. Met up with Betty and Cary…sure is nice to see them again!
Will be meeting them for dinner and making plans for tomorrow’s fishing.
We will keep you posted.
Brad
That sounds like a fantastic trip with great company.
If you’re not too busy fishing and having fun, take some pics for a trip report!
September is a great month to fish out that way.
