Got it set up,And I like it overall. I may make some new uprights and expand it some,Depending on weather or not I can find a source for the spools other than purchaseing a ton of tippet material or larva lace…lol…from the pics, I did not notice two sizes of spools…two rows on top are smaller…the bottom row larger,With a good assortment of medium chenielle and estaz,I used those larger spools pretty quickly, And once I started on the smaller spools with this material I quickly found a drawback…the smaller spools will not hold a full cards worth of material…Not the end of the world…but I’d rather they did.
Although they did great for sparkle braids and held full cards of ultra chenelle But quite tightly packed.
Suprised how much of my material clutter this thing soaked up…A second would’nt really be needed…and I have A LOT of material…but for the want of more of the larger spools…I feel a good improvement would be to add a forth set of spools giving it 2 sets of each size…would really make it perfection imho…But still a great addition to the tying desk!!!

Sounds like a good idea…This is my second Oasis purchase in the past three or so months,And I’ve been pleased with both items, I would have no probs reccomending The Fly Factory Tying Bench whatsoever…Great bench…well built and well thought out layout,And It’s a mystery to me why with all it’s features.
That it also be their lowest priced model…But…I’m certianly not complaining of that fact…was a MAJOR factor in my purchase of it…
If I did’nt have the mrs,and a credit card bill that has steadily gotten…well it’s just out of hand…That hook Hotel…that would be quite neighborly on the desk as well…lol…as both my large boxes are brimming…and I still have a drawer full of hook boxes I have to rumage through just to suprise myself as to what I do have…god this gets frustrateing as ell at times…But that ones a bit of a pricey one…maybe after thumb tax time

Wow … nice looking unit …have the sparkle spinner … think im gonna have to have the chennelle center and i like the looks of the dubbing dispencer… got a birthday coming in the spring…
Based on the discussion here, I bought the chenille center (OK - and the dubbing dispenser). Hard to believe how much stuff I had - and didn’t know it…
Maybe the one area in my life that is now truly organized. LOL
I’ll echo Bill’s comments. Too few big spools - but still a welcome improvement!

Like I said in the email…once I get things somewhat setup…and you’d not believe what all is left to get that way…!!!
