A.K.A. the Down-looker; a fly for the rivers of mid-Wales. Swapped out the woodcock wing for hen pheasant and added a wire counter-rib to protect the ostrich.

thread - Danville 6/0 orange
rib - ostrich herl grey/x-small wire copper
body - Uni-Stretch hot orange
hackle - hen furnace
wing - hen pheasant

I could see that working in the appropriate size for both October Caddis and Salmonflies, though I’d certainly swap the wing for bronze mallard if I actually intended to fish something so pretty.
