Swap is Full*
Hi swappers…Ive enjoyed all the swaps Ive been in with the great tyers on this board and thought it’s about time I hosted one. Here’s the idea…
The swap is open to up to 20 tyers…when you sign up, tell us whether you want to tie a nymph or a dry (and the pattern, if you have chosen one already) …hopefully the numbers will be even, 10 tying nymphs and 10 tying drys. Tie 10 of your chosen fly…if it’s a nymph, you will get 10 drys back and vise versa.
A few groundrules…mayflies, caddis, or stoneflys only…bug specific, no attractors and no emerger patterns, please.
I’ll give it a week for signup and the flys would be due by April 15th…list of participants,

Freenom: I would like to join. I will tie either a Colorado Caddis (nymph) or a Gray Coachman (dry). Or I will send you both of them. Whatever is needed to meet your goal of 10 tyers of each type of fly.
I’d like to enter this swap and I’ll tie a size 20 cdc Hendrickson if that’s ok. Like other respondents I’ll also tie a nymph if you don’t get the tyers you need.
I LOVE THIS FORUM!!! swappin almost as much as im fishin, just finished up my go to trout flies that im shippin tuesday n pickin up the materials for the superbowl swap so its time for another challenge. im totally game for this. i do have an amazing baby stone ide like show all of yall. if theres not enough dries ide be more than happy to either just do a dry fly or send in a set of each, whichever works best/easiest

welcome aboard everyone! we’re off to good start! Thanks for volunteering to tie “either or” to keep the numbers straight but, so far, we are right on track and halfway there. I’ll send out an e-mail when the signup is closed…Thanks!, Jason
I would love to be in this swap. I am new to tying but I think I am catching on quickly. I did a little research and since you are combining Nyphs and Dries I found a nymph that can be used as a dropper combo with a Dry. So if it’s ok I will do Craven’s Poison Tung.
Focus on the details in life… Just don’t get caught focusing!
welcome aboard Big Willy and Red Dawg…thanks for jumping into this!
Nick…I set it up this way so more tyers could be involved without having to tie so many flys. The signup just started but if at the end we are still short a set of drys or nymphs, and you really want to tie two sets then you would get two sets back. Let’s see what happens…Jason
glad to have ya Monty! should be a nice set of flys to get the season started around here. Let me know what you are tying asap.
also…in by e-mail…a mystery tyer has signed up…some guy named Mikeynewshoes or something…he’ll be tying a dry
I’d like to join if there is still room for one more nymph pattern. I have a Bead Head Caddis Larva that works well for me if that’s okay. I see that Diane is already tying the BH Cadis Pupa. Let me know if my pattern will be acceptable.
Looks like you got the last nymph spot James…glad to have you!
Biot midge…that just leaves a dry for you…thanks for joining…always a pleasure swapping with you.
nymphs beat the drys!?..I thought for sure the drys would fill up first
Anyway…we have the rest of the week to get some more tyers
Thanks everyone!..Jason
