Not so, at least for some of us. I just read the entire article, and do not have a subscription.

P.S. Some interesting information that is directly related to what happened to the “old” Fly Anglers On Line Bulletin Board. That old BB stopped attracting younger and new fly anglers - at a time when there is much growth in the sport - while the BB languished and atrophied. I was aware that social media ( identified as instagram in the article ) was one of several factors in the virtual demise of the BB, but not that there were so many younger new fly anglers, although I do run into quite a few on a regular basis. Too bad FAOL didn’t “keep up” and is likely an unknown resource to so many new fly anglers.
No subscription, and the article opened right up. So, our sport is trendy for the young City dwellers now. That won’t last. Most of them will be on to something else shortly to get their Zen. I’m also told that animal Fur sales have been banned in California. Not surprising.
You can a certain number of articles for free each month then the articles stop loading and you get a notice that you have to subscribe. I have reached my limit so it did not load for me.
It will take me a long time to reach my limit with this news paper.
Enjoyed this info. Thanks for posting.
