Not Trout, But What?

Okay, I guess it’s in Korea, but does anyone know what kind of fish?
Obviously it takes flies like a trout.

Oh, look at the casting video of this woman too.

Allan

She can certainly lay out the line. Could those fish be White Amur?

Ed

South Korean Venus fish

Listed under: Carp, minnows and loaches
Venus fish, Aphyocypris chinensis (Gunther, 1868) - (왜몰개) (OK … that’s supposed to be “1868” but for some reason the smilie wants to be there instead of the 8 … oh, well!)

Very impressive casting! Enjoyed both videos! Kinda makes me want to go fly fishing and I think I will!

Ed, that was the first thought I had, it’s a cousin of the “Grass Carp.” The few I have caught have been darker in color than those fish however.

Nice videos, nice castiing. Wish I were that good, oh well, practice. Y’all take care, John.
