It is safety toe boot time again for me. Most of my boots last about 1.5-2 years before the soles are just plain shot. Well, shot for me is probably serviceable for others but the soldier in me demands that I take care of my feet.
I have a pair of Wolverines that are about 2 years old and starting to show the wear of my job. I am a big guy so the foot beds are getting shot too. I change my insoles every 6 months but the actual foot beds do lose their support. Since I do a lot of climbing up and down steps to operate our equipment I always buy something with good ankle support. I have been looking for about two months now. Found these today:
At $95 dollars off I couldn’t pass up that deal on Red Wing boots! Too bad we no longer have a local cobbler but the last one of those I talked too was more expensive than buying new. I miss the old days of getting the shoes cobbled but I got to take care of the feet.
