Well it was so miserable today that I decided to forgo any fishing for the day. I took Amy shopping and when we pulled into the mall parking lot in Shamokin Dam today we got a big surprise. The United States Air Force had a show going and they put one of their Thunderbirds F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft on display. Amy got to climb up and look into the cockpit. Now I am always telling Amy about taking a camera in the car because you just never know what you will see. Well we hope you enjoy what we saw:
The F-16 Fighting Falcon has been around for a while now but it has the reputation of being one of, if not the, fiercest fighters ever. Even today few, if indeed any, other aircraft are capable of going toe to toe with it in a turn for turn dog fight. The aircraft also excels at ground support. I have personally witnessed this when flying missions with “fast mover” support. The best equipment flown by the best pilots!
