Got some very nice old Veniards seal fur from a friend a while back and have been meaning to tie some presentation flies with it and finally got around to it. My eye was rusty and there are some things I do not like… But this is a 5/0 36890 and finding materials large enough for the wings was a challenge…
Feel free to be as critical as you like… seriously… As I am my own toughest critic and I know what could be improved. The riffle hitch space is something I almost always leave… This is the first attempt at a full dress fly for quite a while and I wish I had started with a 2/0 and worked up… It is the venerable Durham Ranger.
