Going to NWT next weekend for a week. We have only done these critters in early June right after ice-out. Seems mid-July would have’em in different moods? Maybe deeper? Should they be near the same areas as early spring? Should there be any opprtunities for top-water? GOSH I HOPE SO!!! 
I know Jason will point us in the right direction, but we need some mind fodder while driving next week.

Lee - the northerns should be close enough to the shallows to be able to toss the topwaters at them.
Nothing like the swirl of a 40" pike chasing your surface fly to boost you up …
Lakers - couldn’t tell you - but guessing that early morning late evening should do it in the shallows (although up there - the days are near 20hrs now) …
