About two weeks ago, we went to the Valle Vidal in northern New Mexico to fish for cutthroats in the Costilla. We caught a lot of fish and caught this on the way out. Some were taken on the highway between Costilla and Questa. Sorry about the size of the pictures but I don’t know how to make them smaller.

Ahhh, the Valle. I was blessed to be able to spend the last two summers working and fishing at Philmont Scout Ranch, which borders the Valle to the south, and have some amazing memories from my time there, all of which came flooding back upon seeing those pictures. What an enchanting place-I can’t wait to return someday soon, with any luck.

Welcome to the wild wild west. Not hi-jacking…just confirming. Most think of AZ also as scorpions and snakes. I live in a portion at 6,500’ with trout, deer, elk, bear…etc. I get that sunset every night! Those are gorgeous. I simply must learn how to take pics facing bright background like that. Never took the time. BTW…picture size is perfect. The hard ones are when you have to scroll left and right and up and down. Those pics perfect. Well done.
