Noodle rod

I am thinking of having a ten and a half foot noodle rod made for myself for steelheading.Any suggestions for quality guides would be appreciated,Thanks

Snake guides, single foot guides or fishing guides?

Sorry, snake guides…not snake river guides

You said “Snake Guides”, so I assume you want to use it with a fly line and reel. Many in the past have had noodle rods made up with fly rod gear.

If you plan to fish larger steelhead streams like the Cat and Salmon in NY I would suggest going longer than 10.5 ft for better mending and line control.

I will take the suggestion further–take a look at a light 6 or 7 wt. spey rod in the 12 ft range. This type rod gives me the best steelhead landing rate on bigger Great Lakes tributaries

These guys have always made a quality product. I think they used to be a sponsor here.

I’ve used their wares and I like them.

Thank you both for your sound imput, which helps me consider new options that I would not have considered myself.
