No rain today...

went out for 5 hours today.

Midges were coming off like crazy…

smaller trout really feeding hard.

Fished a stream know for Wild Trout

Both of these 2 are wild…the white edges of fins and the highlights on bottom
of tail identifies them as “Wild”

Have seen many stupid stockers…ALL same color tails and fins.

Was very good day. Dries didn’t work…went back to old faith full.

Black beadhead bugger with green crystal flash.

Hard to take photos when alone…

Best day so far this year.

spinner1,
Nice looking Trout :stuck_out_tongue:
What size bugger did you use?
Next week end Thats what I’ll be doing here in VT.
For some of the smaller ones here I use a small 14.Yellowish-green body and tail. Then later in the season I go bigger upto size 6.

Spinner1,

Used same black, beadhead, woolly bugger, with crystal flash in tail and also wrapped up body to hook eye, to catch my all time biggest trout; 8.6 to 10 lb brown a couple of weeks ago. When all else fails I try something black and down near the bottom. Except for the beadhead, don’t weight mine when tying; just use some “Soft Weight” about 12" to 18" up the tippet to vary the depth according to the current etc.

i sized down for brookies in water.

There are tigers on this stretch also.

From another outing.

used a size 10 yesterday and to catch this native tiger.

I can’t take credit for fish…
My buddy Jim Hawley caught these.

Brook/Brown/Tiger

All caught on a 4 weight sage…4 x leader…

Black bugger with green crystal flash.

Water temps were 46…cloudy skies…water little cloudy.

Got side tracked with an interesting subject…

Guess her at 30 pounds…Biggest snapper I have ever seen close-up

That this turtle is a Male and easily could have removed a few of my fingers.
