Nikon D60 Maiden Voyage

The fish were hitting this morning.
Landed 24 before 8:30am.

I took 2 photos with my new camera.

I was terrified I was going to get it wet.

The case was cumbersome.

The dew on the grass even made me worry.

Len -

That new camera does take nice pics.

About that water thing - last week I finally got up the nerve to intentionally put my Olympus Stylus 850SW underwater hoping to catch a fish with it. No fish, but it did survive.

This is from the North Fork of the Big Lost - the riffles over the streambed.

This is at that same spot - just aimed closer to the surface.

Sure was glad when I turned the camera on a bit later and everything worked as advertised.

Nice pics of beautiful fish. Love the colors.

I agree… here in the UK most of the beats stock Rainbows and if there are Browns they look like this due to being farmed.

i hope when Spinner said he ‘Landed 24’ he didn’t mean ‘Taking 24’… we need the surplus sent over here. those colours look delicious.

i keep my Nikon well away from smelly fishen … the youtude above was done with my mobile phone which stinks anyway

I feel your pain Len.
Spending that much cash on something to take it fishing and run the risk of it getting dunked scares the crap out of me with my Canon.

Sometimes you just gotta risk it and be really happy with the pics that you get though.

Nice fish BTW, sounds like a great morning.

Glad to hear that the bite is on. Hope to experience some of that this coming weekend. You always take nice pictures and maybe it was the new camera, but the shots look to be exceptionally sharp and the colors vivid. Part of this can be accomplished with camera settings of course, but those Nikon lens and the glass that they use sure helps. Nice investment Len.
