Can anyone help with fishing Newport harbor and surrounding area. I will have an Avon dingy at my disposal and will be on a sailboat at the Newport Yaht Club next week. I wanted to bring along my rod !!???

There is tons of bait and the Albies and blues are thick
Stripers too
(Plus they’re still getting blue fin out beyond the Block 
)
The false albacore will be out in open water where there’s a substantial drop-off, but the blues and to a lesser extent the stripers will be busting bait right there in the harbor.
Very good time to be in the area, one of the best weeks of the fall season
