Good Evening to All
Just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself. My name is Bernie and I reside in a small village outside of Carlisle, Pa. I log in under “farleycat” (don’t ask) which was the name of my sisters cat…now long gone. I also am a member of the knifenetwork forum. I mention that because until I joined FAOL I thought the camraderie (SP) just couldn’t be rivaled. These knifemakers are just so willing to offer advice and encouragement from their years of experience it makes you appreciate people all the more. Now to the main point. This forum is every bit as outgoing and willing to help and just good spirited as knifenetwork. Although I have been flyfishing for a number of years I still considered myself a novice and the advice here is phenominal. The photographs are firstrate…(actually bought a new digiital because of the postings) and the bread…aahhhh the bread. Nuff of my rambling…just wanted to express my thanks and appreciation to all.

Oh, and I have an old ‘custom made knife’…
Nope, the no-knead pumpernickel burned because of the molasses, so this one is kneaded. It’s not a big deal, because I let the KitchenAid mixer do 90% of the kneading, so there’s very little bench work. Here’s what happened to the no-knead…

There’s a few of Pennsyltuckians here and a few of us fish in your backyard like me and Nighthawk who I’m sure will be along shortly.
I’ve fished the Letort for years and will probably be freezing my butt off there in a week or so fishing a BWO hatch. It’s one of my favorites along with Tom’s Run.

If you go to the original post, you will see this man-among-men has excellent taste when he stated; “…and the bread…aahhhh the bread.” We’re just trying to make him feel at home and offer him that which he yearns for… BREAD. Sheesh, it gets harder to do your job around here every day.

Welcome to the site. This is a great place to hang out. One of the first places I go when I have a question. I am from Mechanicsburg and work in Carlisle. Fish this area often. Look me up sometime and maybe we can wet a line. The fishing has been great latley.
