new wet

Hi guys, just sharing my newest wet fly, hope you like it

Carpcrazy,

Very nice wet fly. That should drive the fish absolutely nuts. Is it your own design? If so, great use of materials. It has materials and colors that most fish love to eat.

Ron thabks for the comment, yes it is a design of my own

I DO like that!
Do you have a target species in mind for that pattern? Carp?

I haven’t caught a carp on a fly rod yet. I hope to get that done this season!

Dave, probably carp will eat it, but it was tied to fish in some local trout streams for native mexican Golden and Rainbow hehehehe

VERY, nice Tie!!
Ya’ can’t beat, good 'ol Peacock herl for a fantastic “fish getter” material! The bead head is nice touch and good idea too.

Carp,
I see one significant problem with that fly. Please do not worry, it is something you can easily correct.

The problem? It’s not in MY flybox.

The correction: Send a dozen to my home address.

Nice tie.

Jeff

Jeff, just send your adress by PM and I’ll see what i can do to solve the problem

All peacock all the time (well; not really, but kinda) and I absolutely love it!
Please let us know how that fishes. I expect a good number will get knocked off the tippet from sheer strikes, number of.

So, what did YOU use for the tail and ‘hackle’? I am thinking some of the Pheasant Body feathers I have will do nicely for me.

Thanks for sharing, I think those will knock off quite a few finned fellers in my waters!

Don, I used those red feathers from the back of the golden pheasant hehehe and for the hackle I used the feathers from the shoulder of the same pheasant

Nice use of swords for the wing, nice fly altogether… well done Carcrazy

Jeanne

Very nice fly. Should do well on the trout.
