It was a little rainy.
I almost gave up until i came upon
this leaf covered hole.
It was hard getting through the leaves.
But…
It was well worth it.

Ah, the Fall colors are coming on. Beautiful. What a great time to fish.
Outstanding report and pics. Wish I had more good Brookie water closer to home. I agree with Lotech, Fall colors are spectacular, with the silver and crimson of Rainbows, the gold and orange of Cutthroats, and the brown, gold and red of Brown Trout, and now the vivid multi colors of Brook TroutI love it!
Thanks for the great report!

I am battling this little pig and i see what i
think is a brown following it. It keeps following it to
about 10 feet out and then turns. It has a BIG black
spot on the top of its head over its left eye. Heron peck
I bet.
~It wasn’t a brown~
21 or so male brookie in full fall spawning colors.
It did not come back.
Great photos!
And fall is a great time to fish… and a good time to catch, too.
Judging from the belly on that first fish, there is plenty of forage in that hole! Beautiful fish. I have a trip scheduled to visit my brother in Central PA and hit a brookie stream or two…can’t wait.
