James Smith: Okay I’ll keep my eye open for some next time i’m there.
and Allan: What is Panthera leo Indispensible? Dare I ask -__-
I did the google to find the scientific name of a Lion…and I know where the fur for a Tup’s Indispensible comes from…you can find it out. And I am NOT going to find the dubbing for this one.
LOL. I suggest you find the recipe for a ‘Tups Indispensible’ and just figure it out substituting the main ingredient of the dubbing in a Tups with the appropriate and corresponding main ingredient given the name of the fly pattern.
Allan
My suggestion is to use just a few wraps of Hareline Trilobal Antron Chenille as an alternative to deer hair or spun wool for Muddler heads.
It makes neat, durable round heads and is easiest of all to use. Just a few wraps and you’re done. Size “medium” is most versitile.
BTW: Drier lint doesn’t work at all for tying. It falls apart.
Hmmm… Lew, It looks like everyone ignored you… but not me… The trouble I’ve had with your suggestion is having enough to dub onto the thread… (shhh I haven’t tried digging my wife’s yet though… she’s a pretty light sleeper!)
