New to the forum

Hi Guys,
I’m new to the forum, but have been cruising the website for the past two or three weeks. All I gotta say is AWESOME stuff. Rick Z and Joe Hyde, I particularly enjoy the panfish and warmwater fishing areas. I’m from Northwest Alabama, some of the best smallmouth fishing in the world and we are blessed with lotsa water. I’m gradually getting into fly-tying… my PTN are slowly beginning to look like they are supposed to. Anywayz… great stuff guys… and Thanks

I have been into the fly-tying tutorials hot n heavy. I think they are the greatest thing since pockets ona shirt. I have my tying stuff setup in front of the computer and have been working through them slowly but surely. My flies are poor renditions of the originals, but over time I think they will shape up, and most importantly, the fish bite em.

Welcome to the group. You are right about this site, there’s more good stuff packed away here than you would find in any place else on the web. Don’t forget the Fly of the Week Archieves. You got here just in time to enjoy our new green faces! 8T

You had better learn to be a happy camper. You only get one try at this campground and it’s a real short camping season.

Keep tying, mine didn’t get any better, but I got a lot of flies out of it.

bubba, save some of the first flys you tye on a piece of foam. If you look at them next month or next year it’s fun to see your improvement. It also gives you a reference point to see how much you have improved.

Welcome aboard. If your flies catch fish they’ve done their job IMO. They don’t hafa be purdy to do that. :slight_smile:
