Iam new to this board and would like to say hello. PSPAINT told me about this site so dont hold it agianst me
Welcome aboard <groan>. Most everybody is friendly, but we keep a few codgers 'cause it just wouldnāt be right without 'em. (I think Iām on codger duty next week, Iāll have to check the scheduleā¦) There are lots of great resources here. Itās a real fine place to hang out and relax.
Where do you come from and what kind of fishing do you like?
EdD
Flyguy,
Welcome to the community. You will find this a place of civility, friendship and sharing. Iāve met some of my best friends here, and still fish with them to this day. Filling out your profile will give you the opportunity to share a little about yourself with us. If you live in Tim-Buck-Two we may never meet. But if you live next door, thereās a good chance weāll fish together. Again, welcome to FAOL.
Welcome to the best flyfishing site around
Iām on codger duty this week. Please tell us more about yourself.
Welcome aboard! This truly is a FAMILY. Happy to have you.
BTW, Jack & Ed have both achieved āpermanent codgerā status!
Mike
Welcome to the forum. I think iām the lead codger this week. Maybe this year.
Some call me Gramps. Some call me Grumps. Some call me Pete. Just call me to go fly fishing, and you can call me what you want.
try it for thirty days, if not satisfied, you can get a refund! (less S&H) of course. 8)

Flyguy,
A big welcome to the best flyfishing, fly tying, rod building, fly anything web site going! I think you will find most of the members here are just great and love to share flies, thoughts, jokes, prayers and anything else that one might need. You will find that JC and LF run a pretty tight ship and they only ask that you wipe your feet before entering. Oh, by the way, you will need to furnish the donuts, make the coffee and split the wood for the fire for your first 2 weeks unless another new member joins and if that happens, you will be off the hook, so maybe you better invite a friend of yours to join!!
I must warn you that FAOL is addictive!
Feel free to ask questions anytime.
Welcome
Flyguy
As you become addicted to this site you will aquire a desire to put faces to names. I have fished with/met EdD, One fine gentleman from Nashville, ohiotuber from Canton, OH that is full of Irish Blarney, Warrenp from here that can catch fish out of a new mud puddle and HimSelf āJCā (one very fine man, mentor and friend) you canāt do any better than here!!
Of course there are some very lovely ladyās here too!! LadyFisher whom I believe can out cast all of us, Betty Hiner a ball of energy from KS, Karla Anderson another energy ball from Michigan and our favorite Jean DeSavage from Kalamozoo, MI.
As you will learn we are very loyal to the sponsors here. You may want to consider that!
very kool, welcome 8)
Gāday mate.
Flyguy,

You will enjoy it here!! Ask lots of questions (if, with your pedegree, you have any! ) and be prepared to answer a bunch!! Michigan Fish-In is just right around the corner! Donāt know how far that is from your home, but well worth the drive!! Come and bring pspaint!
Welcomeā¦pull up a rock
welcome to the FAOL BB 8)
Welcome to FAOL. As the others have already stated it is a wonderful community of like minded people. Although it has slowed down a bit for the fishing season, we do have a pretty active fly swap forum that you would be more than welcome to join in on. ( hint hint, nudge nudge, fudge fudge, say no more! )
Although I do not qualify as a Codger I have been described by some of my fishing buddies as a bit of a Curmudgeon. ( Curmudgeons are aprentice Codgers )
Do join us in the Chat room in the evenings where advice, friendship and, yes truth be told, even the odd embellishment of the facts fly about with abandon.
It is really a good time had by all. Hope to see you on here lots in the future.
