sorry about this, but my b.s. meter is going off enough to compel me to post this. mods do what you want, but i feel a duty to warn the forum. new poster who goes by the name cupidfish posted a thread yesterday and calls herself "sue’. when i addressed the question if she was linked to an online dating/matchmaking service of the same name, she declined to address that issue in the public forum. when i p.m’ed her she does in fact admit that she is the head of operations of the cupidfish dating service. she claims she didn’t want to draw attention to her website, but she chooses her username as the same name of her site? sorry folks. but something stinks here and i felt compelled to let you all know. again mods, do what you want, but something is rotten in “reno, nv” and i think it’s cupidfish.
I agree dp. She may fish but she needs to prove her interest in this site as legit. Thanks for doing some leg work. Needs to be looked into I think.

Many people on this site have parts of other sites, some related to fly fishing some not. The fact that she didn’t link to her site indicates to me that she isn’t at this time just using this as a advertising ploy. Time will tell, but I see no harm in what she has done so far. I can also see the good in what she may be trying to do, after all who hasn’t read threads here where singles are complaining that they can’t find a partner who shares there interest in the outdoors.
In other words until she breaks a rule here I think we should all cut her some slack.

This attack is completely unwarranted and out of line. CupidFish has not violated any of FAOL’s rules or regulations. If she does, it will be handled by the administrators and publisher, not a general membership witch hunt.
Just because the rule about no flaming is on the Sound Off section doesn’t mean that’s the only place it applies.
