Haven’t posted any fish pics for a couple weeks…
Since the Mirror Carp, I’ve specifically targeted carp a few times with a Hybrid Carp Fly variant.
A 25.5-incher from a pond I had not targeted them at yet this year:
And a couple of carp during my lunch hour today…didn’t measure the first one, the 2nd was 25.25":

I](https://gifyu.com/image/xT1g) tell you what…more and more fly anglers are appreciating carp as a target species. One side-benefit of catching carp on flies, I think, is it teaches you how to fight a big fish. That helps immensely when you find yourself fishing for other species and hooking into a big one…whether that’s a trout, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, etc. Its great practice!
