Glad to be a former lurker. Live in the Cleveland area and mostly dry fly fish for trout in the warmer months with my wife and steelhead through the winter. Also fish for bass, bluegill, carp, stripers, as much as possible with the fly rod, but not exclusively so. My wife and I travel to flyfish each year for a week in SW Montana in summer and Grayling, Michigan in the early fall during the Annual River Cleanup. We don’t have the money to do the all inclusive type of trips so we are basically budget-do-it-yourselfers. I think, two summers ago we met some FAOLers in Grayling, Michigan at one of their Fish Ins. All in all, I consider myself lucky to have a spouse that loves flyfishing and to have joined FAOL.
Welcome to FAOL from another budget-do-it-yourselfer. I am sure you will find as I have over the years that there are alot of exceptional folks on this site.

Glad you stopped lurking and came in out of the cold!!
Just “jump on in” and enjoy the site and the great folks that hang out here.
There seems to be quite a few members on FAOL, that are from Ohio, so you should run into a lot of fellow Buckeyes as you venture forth here!
However, there IS ONE MEMBER that I may mention, that also is from your state… “Ohiotuber”. You’ll run into HIM, soon enough, I’m sure. He’s an “okay” kinda guy, but we keep him around, basically, so everyone else that joins, FAOL, will be convinced; “We’ll allow ANYONE to belong here”.

Welcome to FAOL from Mentor, Ohio. Unlike ohiotuber, I am recognized as one of the “Bad Boyz,” and my postings cannot be trusted as being truthful. Tuber Terror is one of those cutesy old guys that the ladies like to have around so they can “Mother” him. I guess its good work if you can get it.
