New here...

Hello, fly fishing lady here…my hubby Kelly recently joined all of you …and I decided it was time to come and say “hello!” I am a self confessed fair weather fisherwoman…my hubby will stand in a trout stream, or river up to his neck in 30 degree weather and not care a bit! I on the other hand prefer to wait for warmer weather! (could be because I was raised in Hawaii and I am a wimp!LOL!) I look forward to hanging out and getting to know everyone and enjoying the benefits of your shared experience!

I’ll be back with pics of both of us and our favorite fishing spots…AND our favorite fishing partners!(our boxers!)

Looking forward to meeting all of you!

I want to Introduce my better half to the board…she is a good sport and alot of fun Welcome Jeanene
Love Kelly Flyfisher121

Great to have you with us!! There’s so much information on this board!! And some really dandy people!! (OK … so there are SOME exceptions, but generally ). Enjoy!

Kelly and Jeanene,

Welcome aboard. Always glad to see other Washingtonians on here.

Your names sound familiar, were you at the Idaho Fish-In last year?

If you weren’t, consider this an invite to the Central WA fish-In and the Idaho Regional Fish-In this year. You can read all about them on the home page, just click on Fish-Ins in the menu on the left.

Stop by the chatroom in the evenings. Lots of fish bums swapping lies…er, fish stories and other stuff.

I’m one of Betty’s exceptions. Welcome anyway. I think it’s wonderful when we have couples who fly fish. It takes one to know one. Can’t put it any more honestly than that. JGW

I am the shutterbug between the two of us…so, here are a couple of pics for sake of introduction…

Kelly playing around on the Teanaway

Kelly and I in Hawaii…showing him my stomping grounds!

The Methow this last summer

The Wenatchee this fall…

So nice to meet you all!

WELCOME, to BOTH of you!
My “fish’in bud” of 30+ years, lives across the river from you two, in East Wenatchee, so I’m quite familiar with your local waters such as the Wenatchee, Methow, etc. not to forget, “The Ford”!
Really, hope, you both enjoy FAOL and find its family atmosphere and shared knowledge. It’s something you can both give to and take away from, in an endless amount.
Thankfully, I’m NOT one “of THOSE” that Her Royal Highness Betty Hiner, mentioned!
You’ll soon find out, that I’m way too reserved, coy, super shy, ultra quiet, demure, innocent and have no knowledge of fly fishing whatsoever, so there’s no way I could even be CLOSE to “one of THOSE” she speaks of.
They’re HERE, that part IS TRUE, but not something I’d personally be involved with.
Again, WELCOME and I hope, in short order, you feel “at home” here like so many of us already do!

Thank you very much…I can see that you are quite reserved and standoffish! I appreciate the tremendous effort it must have taken to welcome me…

You’re more, than welcome, Jeanene!! And, yes, I’ll now have to take medications and a long nap, to recover from my over excursions of giving you both such a welcome.
It was well worth it, of course. But, quite tiring nonetheless, for one of my most astute and calm demeanor.

Oh…I’m gonna like it here…you’re cracking me up! You rest now…I’m off, To great adventures in learning! So much to read, so little time…

Oh, how I wish we had been…we did make it to Idaho in July…started out at the St Joe and did well…I caught my first 17" trout there with a broken finger!LOL! (Yeah, I know, me or the trout? Me…long story) ended up wishing we’d headed towards Kelly creek…we got sucked into the North Fork of the Coeur d’Alene(thinking it would be great)…the flies were awful…and we didn’t catch much…but, you can’t go wrong for beauty in Idaho…so, alls well that ends well…next time, we’ll just come over to the Fish-in!!! That would have been a blast! Lookin forward to getting to know everyone and learning more about our beloved sport…

Hi Jeanene!

Hi Jeanene -

Welcome and greetings from SE Idaho.

Spent a bunch of years in the Seattle area, and used to love the ride over to Wenatchee. Especially fun on a motorcycle.

Would have welcomed you earlier in the day, but I just got back from standing in the South Fork for several hours in near freezing temps and a wee bit of light snow. The fishing was great, the catching was okay, and the landing was not so good.

Anyway, you’re off to a good start enjoying what this BB has to offer.

John

Another SE Idaho welcome to you both. It will take two, maybe three days, to find out where the ‘bad’ element is on this board. Just look for the bloviating and excessively descriptive words concerning fellow posters. Don’t believe anything they say, especially as it relates to fly fishing. (It doesn’t count if you put a kernel of corn on the hook and let it sit). Ohio, Tennessee, and Oregon seems to be the hotbed areas.

Welcome Home…

I wish people would STOP clumping that place called “Ohio” in along side the beautiful states of Oregon and Tennessee.
At least this “element” that is so loosely tossed around, from Oregon and Tennessee, are IN America. “The Island Nation of Ohio” as it’s called by its residents, is another “element” all together.

I am happy to be here…

Jeanene and Kelly,

Welcome aboard from that far away place Flybinder refers to as the “Island Nation of Ohio”. Ya, we like SPAM too and a good day Steelhead fishing here might only be 25+ fish, the brown trout don’t grow much over 5 or 6 pounds in my local cold water stream and everyone knows that smallmouth fishings not really any fun, sucks to be us.

Glad you both found your way to the best site on the net. Glad to have you and looking forward to sharing posts with you both.

Jeanene,
Welcome to the “Family”, You are not the only “Fair Weather”
Fly Fisher here, my Jean and I are right there with You.
Enjoy your time here.
