New to the site and justed wanted to say hello to everyone out there! I have been fly fishing for about 15 years but only have gotten seriously in the last 4 or so years. Before that my experiences with fly fishing was mostly bluegill in a farm pond where I grew up. I live in Western Wisconsin and fish usually a couple times a week. I would like to think that I have finally reached the top of the learning curve but there is always a tree, rock or stubborn fish that proves me wrong! Look forward to hopefully being able to contribute but will and have taken alot of information away from this site! I especially enjoy reading the work of Al Campbell. Truly a great loss to the fly fishing world. Anyhow, thanks for the great site and wonderfull info !!
Welcome to a truely fun and addictive sight.
Welcome Home,
Hi bjacks - A warm Welcome from central KY.
bjacks -
Welcome and greetings from SE Idaho.
Just curious - what is “the top of the learning curve?”

A Welcome Aboard from Tennessee!
Good to have you aboard Bjacks. Make yourself at home. Watch out for the Ohioans and the Tennesseeans, and you’ll be ok. I think the top of the learning curve is the rounded end of the paddle that was applied to my britches whenever I messed up real good. Don’t see that much any more.
A big welcome from Oregon.
Rocky
bjacks,
Welcome aboard from California.

Did you say farm pond and gills?
When can I come up
Just remember if there ever was a 4 pd gill it would eat a 4 pd bass as a afternoon snack
greetings from mississippi.
Bjacks, mite want to fill out your profile a little bit, it mite save you from some of the pirates lurking around here!
Pirates:!: I don’t see no Pirates;)
bjacks, there is nothing to fear about Tennessee. Now Ohio…well that is yet to be seen. They have that river that’s been catching fire for over 100 years, lots of “Flat Land” and one infamous Irishman!
For a real learning experiance slide on over to the Michigan Fish-In and discover the real truth!!
Welcome to the site.

Welcome from SW MI. Glad ya could make it. What part of Western WI? I lived in Eau Claire for 6 years and Manawa for five years before that.,. Good water there!

The top of the learning curve for me is this false sense of security that I get when I have a decent day fishing! To tell you the truth I have kind of felt like learning fly fishing is like putting together a jig saw puzzle and for the first time, this year, I sort of feel like I have a better idea what the whole “picture” is supposed to look like. I am sure that I still have lots to learn yet but look forward to the adventure!
I live in Menomonie Wi., moved here from Cincinnati, Oh about 5 years ago. Love the area and tons of great fishing!
Jack, you’ve been ambushed. Shucks, he probably set that up with the Ohio Pirate and the maybe even the Bread Maestro too. <queue narrator> (And where does Kaboom1 factor into all of this? Stay tuned for another, exciting installment!)
Ed, who should have written serial pulps 50 years ago
Well here’s your official welcome from the one, the ONLY, quiet, shy…(drum roll please)…oops, I forget!
Welcome from the great nation of Ohio & ohiotuber, saltwater bluegill guide beyond compare! (rates available upon inspection of your bank accounts).
Just watch out for some of those other folks…there are some shady (although lovable) characters out there!
Seriously, you’re going to enjoy this site…it’s simply THE BEST!!
Mike
Where does Kaboom factor in…he’s the best fisherman of the flatlanders. A warm welcome from NW Ohio.
