Neener neener back at ya. When you get back on Friday I start an entire week off from work to chase steelhead on the Skagit/Sauk rivers and src a day or two on the lower river.
GO HRH BETTY!! When I was in NE for the weekend, the weather was 40s to 50s here for this and the next 3 days. What is here now? Rain, Snows, and MUD, MUD, AND MORE MUD, enough that even tire chains are questionable to get around. Still, am I crazy enough to try it??? :twisted:

Betty, later Sunday afternoon I hopped in my truck and drove for 15 minutes to a city park. There were different mayflies hatching in a pair of adjacent pools. Big guys, they looked to be size 14 Light Cahills and size 12 March browns. I got more hits than than I could keep track off. Best fly was probably a size 18 yellow dry with a yellowish, Krytal Flash butt. This was warmwater fishing. Saw another guy wading wet. He had NOT turned blue.

Well, I didn’t get to fish but I pulled three people out of mud holes on some roads. One was a friend who called for help, he was trying help some others and buried his truck. One on the way home was trying to go fishing on a road that you sunk about 2 inches in just walking, and they didn’t even have good tires, just highway treads. The guy asked why the road was so muddy, didn’t the gravel keep the mud away?:roll:

If it makes you feel any better, the fish were pretty snarky for me, too. Cold front came in and made things pretty tough. Guess I’ll just have to go back when the weather’s nicer. Darn.
