Need recipe for Train Wreck steelhead fly

Anybody know this one?? We were advised this was one of “the hot” flies for the Situk River. Can’t find it anywhere.
Cabela’s ( believe it or not ) have an assortment they sell and it’s listed but it’s not id’d in the big picture shown.
Appreciate any help here…

the name of the fly is Jack’s train wreck, I did not find a recipy for this pattern but found lots of picture and Cabelas sell it in thier catalog.

Thanks guys!! Now just gotta find the org/blk for the collar.

Any ideas there??

Kewl fly! But what is org/blk? Black organza? Try a fabric center (JoAnns comes to mind) and check the wedding section! You’ll be absolutely amazed at what you can find in there!!

I believe he is referring to orange/black hackle…I was wondering the same.

If that’s it … I have a whole package of orange/black guinnea hackle that looks a whole bunch like that picture. Would be happy to share!

Looks like guinea to me too, but I know Mike, I’ll just ask him and get back to you.

This is great. Now to find a org/blk guinea pig…

That’s either very clever   …or

Was that a BOO BOO??

Come on guys…even I know there aren’t any org/blk guinea pigs! Except maybe in SoHo!

Hey Tim,

Tail: Small hunk of red egg yarn
Rib: Flat Silver Tinsel
Body: Black Floss
Wing: Pearl Krystal Flash
Collar: Black Schlappen under Orange Guinea.

My thanks to Mike Doughty for the recipe. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna tie some of those.
