I realize this is quite hasty but I have the day off tomorrow (Wednesday, July 8) and my nephew wants to go fishing for smallmouths. We live in the Altoona Area. I need a place, close, just so he can catch a few fish. I don’t want anyone’s private spots and the size of the smallies doesn’t matter. I fly fish mainly for trout, but I’ve had smallmouth flies tied up for several years and have never used them. I plan on using them tomorrow. I hope someone can help us.

I fish smallies Mapleton down to Millerstown mostly tube.Mapleton has a small launch .good wade.Check water flows.Was high last week.Good luck neighbor
