Neat Stuff! How's your reputation?

Have you checked out that little icon next to your post that looks like the scales of justice? Well, you check it out, because it’s a rating system for your posts. Click on it and check it to see what your fellow posters think of your contribution. Oh, and those yellow & red folders next to the scale is the link where you can deliver a spanking if you think the post is out of line, and if it’s REALLY bad, click on the exclamation in the triangle to report the post to the Moderators.

Also, I found that you can add items to the FAOL calendar. Click on the calendar link at the top of the page to see how it works.

Really neat stuff so far. Can hardly wait to find the other neat stuff.

Joe

Thanks, Joe!!
Gads, I sure HOPE…that being a founding member of the “NBOF”, isn’t going to ruin what poor reputation I ALREADY had!?!

Does the poster get feed back on the evaluation?

Is the evaluation anonymous?

I think I’ll give myself lots of approval ratings [evil]

I don’t think we have to worry about our poor reputations. Altar boys we are NOT! LOL

Joe

Joe;
I just added to your reputation! I approved your post. Lets see what happens!
P.S. Warren and I had a good day on the Duck River, Sunny and high 50’s!

Hi Jack! I wonder how many infractions you’re gonna receive for that post.

Hah! I notice that a whole lot of us are now described as senior members.

Can we use that as proof to get the seniors discount a walmart?

I accidentily clicked on dissaprove of one post. It won’t let you dissaprove without an explanation of the reason for your disgruntlement.

I notice also a spell checker option on the upper right hand corner of the page when you are posting. You can also change fonts and stuff.

I agree all very nice, I just have to get used to it. Thanks all of you for the help.

Jack, had a glitch in the closing of my house up here, jealious!

I guess i’m not old enough yet to be senior

Can someone tell me the difference between “Post Reply” and “Quick Reply” ?..when to use one or the other…

Thanks for finding the spell check , GBF,…I’ve got a Little program…“ieSpell”…which allows spellchecking when doing any website typing…worked good here before but won’t work on this new setup…

Hhhmmm…that’s interesting …I just did the icon ABC check and it seems to be using the “ieSpell” I just mentioned …if that’s true some of you may not be able to use it since it is supposed to be only for internet explorer.

Jack,
I added to your reputation and when I tried to add some more reputation, it rebuked me!
Sorry!
Doug

Jack,
If it weren’t sleeting and snowing and really cold out (picture Dr Zhivago!), I’d be tempted to fix your reputation, and smack you around a bit in the process!! 50 degrees and out fishing … have you no sense of mercy?
:stuck_out_tongue:

Ducksterman,

The main difference between Post Reply and Quick Reply are the edit options. If you want to have all the tools available to be really expressive go with Post Reply. If you want to reply with a few (or as many as you wish) words and don’t need all the edit functions to bring your point across, then Quick Reply is a good option to use.
