Have you checked out that little icon next to your post that looks like the scales of justice? Well, you check it out, because it’s a rating system for your posts. Click on it and check it to see what your fellow posters think of your contribution. Oh, and those yellow & red folders next to the scale is the link where you can deliver a spanking if you think the post is out of line, and if it’s REALLY bad, click on the exclamation in the triangle to report the post to the Moderators.
Also, I found that you can add items to the FAOL calendar. Click on the calendar link at the top of the page to see how it works.
Really neat stuff so far. Can hardly wait to find the other neat stuff.
Joe;
I just added to your reputation! I approved your post. Lets see what happens!
P.S. Warren and I had a good day on the Duck River, Sunny and high 50’s!
Can someone tell me the difference between “Post Reply” and “Quick Reply” ?..when to use one or the other…
Thanks for finding the spell check , GBF,…I’ve got a Little program…“ieSpell”…which allows spellchecking when doing any website typing…worked good here before but won’t work on this new setup…
Hhhmmm…that’s interesting …I just did the icon ABC check and it seems to be using the “ieSpell” I just mentioned …if that’s true some of you may not be able to use it since it is supposed to be only for internet explorer.
Jack,
If it weren’t sleeting and snowing and really cold out (picture Dr Zhivago!), I’d be tempted to fix your reputation, and smack you around a bit in the process!! 50 degrees and out fishing … have you no sense of mercy?
The main difference between Post Reply and Quick Reply are the edit options. If you want to have all the tools available to be really expressive go with Post Reply. If you want to reply with a few (or as many as you wish) words and don’t need all the edit functions to bring your point across, then Quick Reply is a good option to use.
