Does anyone know how I am connected to the internet on the laptop…without having the rauter hookedinto the side? I was connected and i pulled the rauter out will being connected and it was put into another computer in the other room.
could this computer be using that same rauter still somehow?

You must have a wireless connection. Either from your router or your neighbor’s. Enjoy it.
As Oldfrat said you are going through a wireless connection from somewere, if it is through your system you need to set up a firewall to keep others off your system otherwise you are in danger of hackers or people using your system for sending emails, or downloading things you dont want coming through in your name.
find someone you trust to check the system

It must be wireless as said but that would mean you have wireless built in to your laptop…just check and see if that’s the case…if you have it there should be a switch to enable or disable it. I assume you don’t have a wireless adapter card.
Being very serious, I can’t wait to see how this scenario turns out. On the other hand, this pheonomonon doesn’t happen when your side of our planet is closest to Mars does it? Happened to me once.
