Hi,
This picture is probably not in enough detail to do the fly justice, but I am betting this will work well next summer on the Henry’s Fork. I have tried several “regular” PMD patterns there and not had a whole lot of success. One that worked the best so far is the standard Craig Mathews PMD Sparkle Dun.
However, I have a feeling this paraloop version will be even more effective.

I think you fly looks great! If fishing slicker pools or runs, i would trim the tail or “shuck” alittle. Our sulphers here(eastern PMD’s) can be very prolific on the hatch and fish can get selective. Fly’s that are sparse in the ‘sparkle’ tail seem to produce more takes. I llike to even tye in a few wood duck flank fibers over the antron or zylon. Biggest thing is to just not grease or apply dry floatant to the tail shuck.

Having confidence in a fly is almost as important as the pattern itself. That’s a nice looking bug; if it works on the Henry’s Fork, it’ll play just about anywhere.
